Résumé 2023:
This medical report talks about a well-known missionary-based hospital having over 209395 (upgraded population estimate) inhabitants in its catchment area of Kitutu Health Zone.
This rural hospital of over 100 beds offers the complementary health care activities’ package. The package includes outpatient, inpatients (gynecology, surgery, internal medicines and pediatrics), laboratory, radiology, administration, engineering…services.
This year, we sustained the ready registered the growth trend of patient accessibility, bed occupancy rate and cure rate despite the reduced total incomes.
We cared for good collaboration with our partners (Filadelfia & Government…), to vulnerable patient up to 10% loss of financial effort.
We call for urgent support in the following listed areas: (1) Transportation means (even a second hand bus of 38 seats), (2) Career development and staff accommodation, (3) Metallic standard beds mandatory by the government, (4) Poverty related disabilities (cataract blindness, flat/clubbed feet children, malnourished…) funding, (5) Adolescent motherhood challenges and (6) Pilot health care assurance for rural community into a health mutual organization.
